2010 South Gwinnett Diamond Classic Tournament Information & Rules
Tournament Date: August 13-14, 2010
Tournament Sites: South Gwinnett High School, Central Gwinnett High School, Peachtree Ridge High School, Brookwood High School, and Shiloh High School
Tournament Fee: $300.00
Admission: $7/day (Fri. and Sat.)
Children 6-12 & Senior Citizen $3/day
Children under 6 free
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK WILL BE PERMITTED
Awards: 1st place teams in each of the 5 medal brackets
Game Time Limits for Friday: 1 hour 15 minutes; no new inning after this time. If teams are tied at the end of the time limit, then the game will end in a tie.
Game Time Limits for Saturday: 1 hour 30 minutes; no new inning after this time. If teams are tied at the end of the time limit, international tie-breaker rule will be used.
Home team determined by coin flip.
All 2010 GHSA fast-pitch rules apply.
Each team will be asked to furnish one new regulation GHSA optic yellow ball for each game played.
Teams will be seeded into Saturday’s Medal Play based on the following First Round play:
1. Fewest number of losses
2. Number of runs allowed per game played
3. Run Differential
4. Flip of coin
ATTENTION COACHES: There will be 5 medal brackets: Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze. Medal field locations will be determined after Friday’s pool play in order to accommodate the hosting schools, if possible. You will be notified via phone Friday night at the completion of games as to which medal bracket and location you'll be playing on Saturday. For this reason, it is vital that I have a cell phone number in order to contact you Friday night with the information about Saturday play.
