Attention all girls who will be attending South Gwinnett High School in the Fall of 2010. Thanks for your interest in High School Softball. Here are a few key points to help you prepare for the upcoming season.
Summer ball- PLAY!!! – Summer Ball is an excellent way to get into shape for the High School Season.
Start recruiting players!!!! – Not only do we need you, but we need your friends!
You must have a physicalon file before you step on the field. The Physical Form can be downloaded and printed by clicking here.
Workouts- this year you will be conditioning on your own – A copy of the workout guide will be posted on the "Forms" page of the website and will be updated about once a month. You can also download and print the latest workout guide by clicking here.
The SGHS Lady Comets will have a Softball camp on April 17th. Your participation is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. There will be a nominal fee for attendance, but it will certainly be worth while. We'll post more information here as it becomes available. The registration form can be downloaded and printed here.
Mandatory Conditioning Camp begins the week of July 26th as your tryout for the High School Team. Official practice begins August 2nd 2010.
You will be required to pay dues- price to be set before tryouts.
There will be a parent meeting after cuts have been made to discuss the commitments to the Comet program.
We'd like to invite everyone to attend the 10th Annual South Gwinnett Diamond Classic Tournament on August 13-14. The tournament will host 24 teams with 6 medal rounds payed at area high school fields.
